Purdue considers grant support for a variety of initiatives. While we place emphasis on corporate citizenship in communities where we operate our businesses, we also support national, regional, and local initiatives to help address the opioid addiction crisis and support responsible use of controlled substances.
All grant applications must:
Address an identified need
Support a specific initiative or program
Provide target metrics or projected outcomes
Primary grant focus areas:
Helping to address the opioid addiction crisis
Supporting responsible use of controlled substances
Advancing community economic development
Contributing to overall community health and wellness
We will not consider applications that request funds for:
Organizations or programs outside the United States
Political action groups, candidates, or lobbying efforts
Religious, social, or athletic organizations
Social, athletic, or student group activities
General operating support
Funding events including charity walks/runs, golf tournaments or similar activities
Wage support for staff or administrative personnel beyond administration of specific programs or initiatives
Capital improvement projects/programs
Please note grant applications from organizations with nonprofit status as defined by the Internal Revenue Service are more likely to receive consideration than those from private organizations.
At this time, Purdue is not funding continuing medical education grants.
Grants may be submitted electronically via this portal throughout the year. Purdue will review applications at least twice annually according to the following schedule:
Grant review period: September 2 - October 15, 2019
Grant notification period: Before November 15, 2019
Grant review period: May 4 - June 19, 2020
Grant notification period: Before July 17, 2020
Additional grant notification periods will be posted when they are available.
